This project focused on clear design and useful features for better pet care.
Goals & Initial Collaboration
PetMyPet set out to create an all-in-one mobile app for pet owners that combined practical pet care tools with vibrant community features.
The vision was to make managing a pet’s health, routines, and activities as seamless as possible, while also fostering connections between pet owners, shelters, and care providers.
When we joined the project in early 2023, PetMyPet was still at the concept stage. The client had a strong idea, but needed a partner who could lead the full product development lifecycle: from market research and UX planning, to cross-platform coding, backend integration, and final app store launch.
We started with deep research, analysing pet care trends in target regions (US and UK) and identifying gaps in existing apps. Our findings shaped the core features for v1:
- 📅 Pet Care Calendar: Centralised scheduling for vet visits, grooming, playdates, and feeding times.
- 🔔 Smart Reminders: Custom notifications for medication schedules, vaccinations, and celebrations.
- 🤖 Personal AI Assistant: Provides tailored pet care advice and suggests activities based on user input.
- 📍 Pet Services Map: Integrated map to discover and review local vets, groomers, and trainers.
- 💬 Pet Owner Community: Chat functionality to connect nearby pet parents for meetups or advice.
This stage required close collaboration with the startup’s founders, aligning design decisions with business goals and ensuring each feature addressed a genuine user need.

What did we do
Structured, step-by-step process. That was the approach to ensure the final app was intuitive, efficient, and easy for users to navigate.
Analyzed the Competition
We reviewed 10+ similar platforms to spot common features, strengths, and gaps. This gave us a clear picture of what users expect and what we could do better.
Mapped Out the Wireframe
Using competitor insights, we planned out the app’s structure, navigation, and user flows. The wireframe served as our blueprint to build a clear and intuitive product.
Designed a Clean UI
Once the wireframe was ready, we focused on visuals. The goal? A modern look that feels effortless to use. Every screen was crafted with real users (and their jobs) in mind.
Built Clickable Prototypes
We created interactive prototypes to test ideas early. This helped us catch friction points before development started and gave users a smoother final experience.
Ran Continuous Testing
We tested at every stage. That let us fix bugs, smooth out the UX, and make sure each update worked as intended. Before it ever reached production.
Shipped Updates & New Features
Even after launch, we didn’t stop. We kept improving the app based on real feedback, adding new features and making sure everything stayed aligned with user needs. More about it next →
Expansion of Services
Following the successful launch, we moved into feature expansion with a strong focus on monetisation and user retention. We implemented premium subscription features using RevenueCat, enabling:
- Full access to AI-assisted pet care.
- Exclusive tools for organising and tracking multiple pets.
- Priority access to new features and seasonal promotions.
This required integrating secure payment flows and ensuring a smooth upgrade experience for existing users. We also worked on backend optimisations to handle the growing data load as the user base expanded.
Ongoing Impact & Future Plans
Since launch, PetMyPet has steadily expanded in its target markets, with App Store and Google Play downloads increasing month over month. Early adopters highlight the app’s polished design, smooth cross-platform performance, and the AI assistant that keeps them coming back.

Our role now is to keep that momentum going — monitoring performance, releasing updates, and refining features based on real user feedback. Looking ahead, the focus is on community-driven growth: adding posts & discussion groups, local interest hubs, and gamified care challenges.

Results
PetMyPet set out to make pet care simpler and more connected, and that’s exactly what it’s doing. We turned an early idea into a polished cross-platform app where owners can track health, routines, and activities, while also finding local services and joining a community of fellow pet lovers.
We handled everything from research and wireframes to design, backend build, and cross-platform development. Features like the Pet Care Calendar, Smart Reminders, AI Assistant, Service Map, and Community Chat quickly became favourites among users.
Since launch, downloads on App Store and Google Play have climbed steadily, fuelled by smooth navigation, reliable performance, and premium features like advanced AI support and multi-pet management.
Today, PetMyPet isn’t just an app. It’s a trusted tool for pet owners that makes daily care simpler and strengthens the bond between pets and their humans.
